Elevating a private girls school online presence into a new era
Lauriston Girls School
Lauriston Girls School is a private school in Melbourne they were seeking a full website redesign to elevate their digital presence. The website challenged me to think outside the box and create a website that was classy, engaging and user-friendly all whilst aligning to the school’s brand identity.

Mobile Responsiveness
I had a great experience working with Lauriston Girls School on their website. We collaborated on different concepts and explored various ways to present the main menu. The school wanted a mega menu that would accommodate the many touch points and user journeys on their site. After trying out different ideas, we decided on the design you see above. I also helped the school to strategize the placement and content of the main links within the mega menu, to ensure a smooth and intuitive navigation for the users.
Challenges
Year 9 Done Differently
The year 9 component of the school, Howqua, needed a separate look and feel from the rest of the site. Howqua is a bush campus where the year 9 students are educated in a unique environment. This is a vital selling point for Lauriston and we wanted to convey the Howqua message through this page. I used the terrain line art to highlight the geography of the location and added the burnt orange to accentuate the nature and earth elements.
